The Way of Salvation

Have you ever traveled to a destination you had never been to? You were destined to get lost unless you had clear directions and a map.

God has given us clear directions to get to Heaven. You and I have never been there before—it would be wise to listen to God’s directions instead of making up our own. "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 14:12

 

Good works such as church membership or baptism might "seem" like the right way to Heaven, but God says that our ways will produce failure. "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

God’s Son, Jesus Christ, clearly states that He is the only way. There is ONE road to Heaven: Jesus Christ!

How can you get eternal life through Jesus Christ?

Accept that you are a sinner.

 

Our sins have separated us from God. Before Jesus becomes your Savior and gives you eternal life in Heaven, you must first know and accept that you are a sinner and need Him to save you."…There is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:10: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

Turn from your sin and trust Christ as your

personal Saviour.

 

You can believe that God loves you. You can believe that you are a sinner and that sin must be paid for, but if you are not willing to trust God by accepting the Lord Jesus as your personal Saviour, you will die without Christ. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

 

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9

 

Let us review for a moment.

1. Do you accept that you are a sinner?

2. Do you agree with the Bible that sin must be paid for?

3. Do you believe Christ died for you, then rose from the dead three days later?

4. Do you see that you must turn from your sin and trust Christ as your personal Saviour?

​

If you now understand God’s one and only way to Heaven, then do not pass up your opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour.

"…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation…" II Corinthians 6:2b

​

In your own words, trust Christ right now with a prayer similar to the following:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I genuinely apologize for my sin and need to be saved. I believe You died on the cross to pay for my sins and arose from the grave because of Your power over death and hell. I’m putting all my faith and trust in You alone to forgive my sins, come and be the Lord of my life, save my soul from hell, and take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you, Jesus, for your gift of eternal life. Amen.

New Life

Everlasting life begins when you accept Christ as your personal Saviour. Eternal salvation cannot be lost or taken away.

​

"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish…" John 10:28
